The Restaurant

Situated on the bustling Glasgow Road and just a stone’s throw from Barshaw Park, Caffé Royale has become a thriving destination for excellent Italian cuisine in Paisley and beyond.

Established in 2016 but overseen as a family run operation since 2019, the restaurant pulls off the impressive feat of being stylish and contemporary while retaining a transportive quaintness which will immerse everyone that enters in the joy of the dining experience.

On top of its friendly and attentive staff are pivotal in creating the endearingly comfortable ambiance that's come to be one of its calling cards, what makes this eatery unique is the authenticity of its food.

Our Head Chef

After undertaking a professional pilgrimage in the 1980’s, head chef Colin Guthrie has immersed himself in the traditions and techniques of the mediterranean nation of Italy.

An enthusiastic student of his craft who learned under the tutelage of Sicilian chefs in Corleone, this all important period of hands-on training was supplemented by spending time in the markets of Palermo and getting a rare glimpse into the homespun methods of the mamma’s and nonna’s whose tried and tested methods have fed generations of families.

Inspired by the teachings of the old country, there is nothing mass-produced about what we do. Everything is cooked to order and as such, patience can often be a virtue as we always strive to deliver the most rewarding and flavourful visit that we can.

Fusing the best local produce with select important items which imbue our food with the unmistakable quality of genuine Italian cooking, it goes without saying that no matter what time you pop in and what menu you choose to eat from, we prioritise freshness and always strive to outdo ourselves.

An establishment that is never stationary, our ever-changing specials menu ensures that we’re in a constant state of evolution and there’s always something new to tempt you when you pay your next visit.

L’albergo nasce da un accurato progetto di recupero architettonico di antiche abitazioni, restaurate e trasformate in un albergo diffuso.

L’albergo rappresenta innanzitutto una dichiarazione d’amore per un territorio dalla bellezza primitiva, di grande interesse  storico – artistico, enogastronomico e naturalistico.

La struttura offre un ampia tipologia di camere diverse tra loro, caratterizzate dal giusto connubio tra design moderno e finiture antiche.

È possibile organizzare eventi, e dedicare un pensiero ad amici e parenti con dei cadeau (regali) di “gran gusto”.

Oltre alle camere, l’hotel offre una sala colazione, una cantina tipica, un ristorante denominato “CANTINA MANDO:CC” dove poter degustare prodotti tipici umbri: Norcineria, formaggi, carni, zuppe e tanto altro.    

Vineria con cucina dove puoi bere un buon bicchiere di vino accompagnato da un piatto semplice preparato con cura.

Bistrot di giorno, cocktail bar la sera, con le sue molteplici proposte a pranzo, per l'aperitivo, per la cena e per la serata.

Aperto sempre, dal lunedì alla domenica. Ideale per famiglie: i bambini sotto i 12 anni mangiano gratis la sera e la domenica a pranzo, una gratuità per ogni adulto pagante.

Vende anche vino sfuso e alcuni prodotti alimentari.

Ci troviamo in via la Spezia nel cuore di San Giovanni a due passi dalla basilica.

Oltre alle nostre specialita’ di pesce si possono gustare delle ottime tagliate di manzo servite su piastra rovente e piatti della tradizione.

Inoltre proponiamo pizze cotte rigorosamente nel forno a legna, con impasto a lunga lievitazione.

KÆRLIGHED TIL MAD
Drivkraften på Azzurra er kærligheden til mad, der laves fra bunden. Ønsket om, at bibeholde respekten for gode råvarer tilberedt således, at kvaliteten og ægtheden kommer til sin ret i den mad, der serveres. Dette gælder uanset om der er tale om en ”simpel” pizza eller en 9-retters Gourmetmenu.

Med rødder i det italienske køkken er det naturligvis her man finder det originale køkken.
Der er stor fokus på at bibeholde den autentiske italienske smag i forretter, salater, pasta, hovedretter, menuer og desserter. Der lægges vægt på en korrekt håndtering af de importerede råvarer og en tilberedning, der genskaber smagen af hvordan "Mamma" lavede det.

Der bliver lavet dagens retter efter hvilke af årstidens råvarer der bliver tilbudt – ofte i små mængder eller specialtilbud. Med det italienske for øje er det ikke svært at skabe et varieret menukort. Der bliver oftest fundet favoritter, hvilket gør, at vi ikke i så udpræget grad skifter vore retter her, men lader størstedelen af kortet være til vore stamgæster.

Med en napolitaner ved roret af denne restaurant er der stor fokus på pizzakvaliteten. Selv om udvalget ikke ændres – på nær månedens pizza, gør vi meget ud af at arbejde og forbedre vores produkt hele tiden. Således, at den nybagte pizza der serveres, får den optimale bund – dette gælder for både den almindelige og den grove bund, som vi selv fremstiller. Vores glutenfri bund er derfor også nøje udvalgt til at passe ind i vores koncept.
